CEDARBURG, WIS (December 20, 2011) Oncontact Software released Oncontact CRM 7.4 with new features. The new Oncontact CRM software features are listed below:
Oncontact CRM Software now offers the Metadata Porter to simplify the task of moving system metadata from one environment to another. It may be used to copy modifications or upgrade CRM 7 to a newer version.
Oncontact CRM 7.4 has options for updating soundex values, which are used by CRM 7 to locate possible duplicate records. A duplicate records list can now be saved and processed at a later time.
Enhancements to the Activity summary (tab) on all the main pages (Company, Contact, etc.) make viewing and searching Activity history easier.
A configurable search option was added to the toolbar. By default, this option searches through Activity descriptions and notes, and filters Activities accordingly.
Included in CRM 7, is the new expand option (+) that may be used to reveal all activity notes in a record.
Reports and Dashboards
Several features were added to make Searching more flexible. Searching may now be opened with the criteria section automatically expanded. Different criteria forms may be defined for Searches including those used by Reports.
Gauges are now available for Dashboard panels. Several styles of gauges are offered, including circular, half and quarter dials, linear, and thermometers.
The Task Manger may now be used, with a new workflow activity, to schedule the running and emailing of reports.
WPF Client and Outlook Add-In
With Oncontact CRM 7.4 Software, the notes field will be transferred to and from Outlook now.
On start-up, the Outlook Add-In and WPF Client applications, will check for newer versions available on the server. If a newer version is available, it walks users through a step-by-step installation of the updates.

The Oncontact CRM application may be started in Safe mode to help debug and correct metadata issues, or upgrade to a newer version.
Entity Properties and Relationships designers were added to the System tools. The Entity generation was altered to drop entity relationships and properties that no longer exist and various changes were made to simplify designers and make commonly used features easier to navigate.
